For the Love of Bras…Or Not

How old is your oldest bra? No judgement here but really think about it.

If you have any bras that are more than 2 years old and they are in your normal rotation of wearing, it’s time for them to go. Bras can last from six months to a year depending on how many you have in your daily rotation.

If your straps are loose and/or the band still feels loose after being placed on the highest hooks, it’s time to replace the bra. Taking care of your bras is important if you want them to last. I know hand washing seems like a task but trust me your bras will go a long way. If you don’t want to hand wash purchase a lingerie bag and wash on a gentle cycle.

I went on the search for some new bras because I wanted to add a couple more to my collection. I ordered those bras that I can wear for work, weekend wear, and even just lounging around the house but can transition to running errands if I needed to.

Harper Wilde

Real quick let me tell you, this brand hit the Nordstrom site and they were selling fast. I mean fast fast. I had never heard of this brand until I was on Nordstrom and now I’m hooked. I can see why they sold out so fast.

The Base Underwire Bra

It is the details in this bra for me. Let me tell you what won me over…the band of the bra. Next to the hooks on this bra, they have dated each set of hooks at 2/4/6 months as a way to track when you should be tightening your band. What the heck! I have never seen this and I love it. Why? Because honestly, I never adjust my hooks and I probably could have kept bras way longer had I done it.

This lightly lined, full-coverage bra is made from exceptionally soft fabric that feels comfortable all day and disappears under clothes for a smooth look.

The twist front is also super cute.

  • Back J-hook converts straps to racerback
  • Partially lined
  • 68% nylon, 32% spandex

  • Lined
  • 76% polyamide, 24% elastane
