My New Fragrance Finds

Hello Insiders!!! I feel like it has been forever since we have gotten together. I took a bit of a break and did a teeny tiny bit of travel.

I am soooo excited y’all have no idea!!! I am a fragrance addict, perfume addict, and lover of smell good for the body. Ooo who grandma use to say ‘Let me put on some smell good and I’ll be ready’ haha.

I tried to stay away and be good with what I already had in my collection but the urge crept up on me. Bloomingdales said they were having a sale and I basically ended up getting a bottle for free with the savings.

Let’s get into it….

GUERLAIN – Art & Materials Néroli Outrenoir Eau de Parfum

Top notes: Petitgrain, bergamot. Heart notes: neroli, orange blossom, smoky tea note. Base notes: Ambrette seed, moss, and myrrh. This is categorized as a tea scent.

It has both bergamot and black tea which could be mistaken for an Earl Grey tea. Oh but that’s not it, Néroli Outrenoir’s tea is a fragrant, smokey black tea.

After this scent settled on me another 20 minutes the neroli took a backseat and allowed the tea and orange blossom to come through. According to Guerlain, Néroli Outrenoir is a woody, floral aromatic. Orange flower is the sole bloom.

I won’t say this fragrance is going to bring the noses of others to you, but it does rest about an inch or two above the skin. This is one of those fragrances you can wear day or evening. It can go from professional to casual.

I have nothing like this scent in my collection and that’s what I like most about it. When I’m wearing this I know exactly what I have on. It gives me summer nights and wintertime brunches. Yessss!!!!!

CHANEL N°5 EAU DE PARFUM

I do not know where I have been but no one told me I was missing out. I just got a whiff of Chanel N°5 within the past 2 weeks. I even did a wear test and this Chanel right here is good good. I already own Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and I am holding onto the last few sprays I have in that bottle. This perfume is a bouquet of flowers (oh my goodness! I forgot I bought flowers yesterday and never put them in a vase, I placed them in my guest bathroom sink to put them out the way when I was cooking)

Back to Chanel N°5… it’s a bouquet of flowers made up of May Rose and Jasmine with bright citrus notes. It is also made up of ylang ylang, vetiver, and aldehydes.

Having this perfume makes me feel a bit better about using the rest of my Coco Mademoiselle. Well Chanel N°5 coupled with the fact that I am eyeing the Coco Mademoiselle L’eau Privée.

No one told me but I am going to tell you to get your hands on Chanel N°5 right now.

MAISON FRANCIS KURKDJIAN – Baccarat 540 Extrait de parfum

When I first did a whiff of this, I said this what everyone is hyped about? It wasn’t until after I did a wear test and witnessed what it did on my skin, that my next whiff I was saying ‘Oh yes, this is it right here’.

KEY NOTES:
Grandiflorum jasmine from Egypt, saffron, bitter almond from Morocco, cedarwood, musky woody accord, ambergris. This parfum gives an amber woody floral aura.

I am telling you the extrait is completely different so be sure to wear test both before making a decision on which you want to invest.

With all three of these fragrances, I was stopped many times to be complimented on my fragrance and/or asked what I was wearing.

If you are looking to add something new to your fragrance collection or trying to decide where to start, start with 1, 2, or all 3!!!

When I use the word invest this simply means to purchase fragrances that you truly like and wear well on the skin. Don’t buy something you half like and find yourself having to reapply all day. The price you spent on 5-7 of those, you could have purchased one good fragrance.
