Decluttering Makeup – Part 1

Welcome to my subscribers and first-time visitors. I hope you all are doing well and taking care of yourself. I have been doing well

A couple of weeks ago I reorganized my desk after purchasing a desk cover protector and printer. When #stayhome and #socialdistancing first started, every week I was finding something to declutter.

I didn’t bother my makeup stash because I really thought that everything I had I wanted to keep. However, the more I sat at my desk the more I kept looking thinking there is no way alllll this makeup is still good.

So here is what I ended up getting rid of:

TARTE – Tartiest x MakeupShayla Contour Palette

Let me tell you this the ORIGINAL palette that MakeupShayla did with Tarte. It was a good palette and my go-to when I went on weekend trips and didn’t want to carry much makeup. This palette handled my entire face except for the foundation. I am getting rid of this because it is way past expiration, this palette is now 4 years old. I didn’t even realize I still had this palette as I started using other palettes 2 years ago. For personal reasons Tarte became a brand that I had to put in timeout not because it wasn’t a good product.

Tarte – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette

This is another palette that I have had for at least 4 years, but I will also say it was a good palette. It was another that I would also take on weekend trips and even vacations when I was trying to pack less. This is another that was buried underneath other palettes and I haven’t used it in over 2 years. For personal reasons Tarte became a brand that I had to put in timeout not because it wasn’t a good product.

Blushes

I have had most of these blushes when I first started playing with makeup and I’m not even going to tell you what year that was. I was looking for the shade Raizin because that was my jam but I guess I realized sooner than later it was definitely time for that go. If you didn’t own Raizin, where were you?

Which would I buy again? Blunt and Pinch Me. My only reason for not repurchasing is because I currently hold 6 other blushes.

I purchased this shade when I thought I was going to really get into trying different color combinations. I may have used this once and I can move on from it.

L’Oreal Infallibe Foundation – 410

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Longwear Shaping Foundation Makeup Sticks

I wore this foundation stick downnnn. This was during a time when I was into foundations sticks heavily and had completely put liquid foundations to the side. I still have a little of this left and I seriously thought about using a makeup sponge or brush to apply the rest since. The foundation is no longer attached to the twist up. I even thought about removing it from the stick mashing it up and making it easier to apply that way. I know I was really trying to make it work but after some time I realized it was old and no point in saving.

I’d purchase this again but right now I have 2 stick foundations, 5 liquid foundations, and 1 CC cream.

I’m going to stop here but I will be back to show you all the rest of the makeup that I have decluttered.

Until next time, be good to yourself and to others.
