When Sephora dropped the sale (20% off everything) I wasn’t going to shop it all but of course, I changed my mind. I figured this was the perfect time to get into some new skincare products. I had no plan of buying makeup buttttt Rihanna had to go and drop new bronzers and blushes and it was downhill from there.
Skincare
Ole Henriksen – Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner
This toner has been raved about in helping with dark spots so it was time to give it a try.
Ole Henriksen – Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer
Of course, I am going to try the moisturizer with the toner.
Murad – Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum
I am on a mission to improve my skin so here is another dark spot treatment. I purchased this in the mini version as I felt the size was sufficient enough to tell me if it was helping my skin.
HUM Nutrition – Daily Cleanse Clear Skin and Body Detox Supplement
This a repeat purchase for me. The first time I was only taking 1 capsule each day and I should have been taken 2. I am hoping this time around I see an even bigger difference. These supplements definitely help keep the hormonal acne under control.
Makeup
So I thought I had found all the mattifying primers that I needed, however, too many combination and oily skin ladies were saying how amazing this worked for them. I did go light and purchase the mini before committing to the full size and the fact that I have 5 other primers (yes I just counted).
Charlotte Tilbury – Magic Vanish Color Corrector
For those who have deeper skin complexions, this is perfect for pigmentation and brightens the appearance of the under-eye area.
Make Up For Ever – Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation
I was looking for a powder foundation that I can use on those days when I don’t want to apply a liquid or stick foundation.
Color: Y505 Cognac
Urban Decay – All Nighter Waterproof Setting Powder
Two reasons I purchased this:
- I already own Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and the way it holds my makeup through my longest night is perfect. With that, I felt I couldn’t wrong with the setting powder.
- Pressed setting powders have been my thing for just over a year now and I prefer them over loose powder.
Fenty Beauty By Rihanna – Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush
I know the color on the left, Fuego Flush appears to be VERY orange but I had plans for really making this shade work on my cheeks. It is described as a soft tangerine with shimmer. I had seen it swatched on a skin tone similar to mine and it confirmed that I was good to go. The color on the bottom, Rosè Latte was a no brainer. This one is described as soft bronzed nude so it was right down my alley as an everyday shade.
If you still aren’t convinced about Fuego Flush Cream Blush watch beauty YouTuber, Andrea Renee. We wear the same shades in foundations, lipsticks, eyeshadows, etc.
Done!!! That is everything that I purchased from the Sephora sale (20% off).
I will definitely circle back around and give y’all a review on the products after I have tried them.
Until next time – Be good to yourself and to others.
