Week 8: Where Are You Hanging Out At?

That question is easy to answer, I’m at home. I am now on week 8, 2 months officially!!!

What has everyone been doing to maintain sanity? I think at this point we have checked off the cleaning and organizing items on our to-do list and if we haven’t we are over it haha. Following that some of us moved on to self-care and if I think I have mastered that as well. So what are you doing now to keep yourself busy at home?



This week I started reading 2 new books, 1 for each of the book clubs that I am in.

Work It Out!!!



Oooooo this week was something serious when it came to working out. It all started when I suggested to my friend La Toya that we should rise and shine for a 5:30 am workout on Facebook. When she agreed, I said ohhhhhh what have I done. We made it happen a couple of times last week but don’t ask me if that is the plan for this week. I will admit it felt good to have it done for the day and one day I felt like I had all the energy in the world afterward.

After 3 of my friends hit me up about their workouts and looking at my iWatch I saw that my mommy had even got it in that morning, I had to get up and do something.

Here was my Saturday workout. So that you all know I am struggling with these workouts, I included what I said out loud to myself while doing this workout.


40 Minute Cardio Pilates and Strength Training

* There is no way you are raising one leg at a time like that. I guess I have no core strength silly me.

* We have 2 legs, so whenever you want to switch I’m ready.

To-Do List

The past 3 weeks I have completely stopped using my weekly to-do list notepad and it is starting to show. The end of the week comes and I am trying to get a bunch of things completed that I had all week to do. So this week I am back on it and here are a few things I am holding myself accountable to:

  • Write content for the blog
  • Purge makeup – Fenty has 20% off all makeup until Monday, 18 May 2020
  • Laundry
  • Look for a new coffee table
  • Post office run
  • Seafood Boil
  • Read both books for book clubs




Vacations, Holidays, Weekend Getaways – Cancelled for 2020

Here are some of my plans I had for 2020 that will not happen.

  • Dreamville – received a refund
  • Essence Festival – received a refund
  • Mexico – was not yet booked
  • Miami – received a refund
  • Las Vegas – was not yet booked
  • Houston – received a refund
