Week 1: #StayHome

Whooo let me tell you the first week was a true eye-opener to how my next 2 weeks are going to look. Contrary to belief from all my traveling, I am truly a homebody. If I am not traveling I am perfectly happy with sitting in the house.

I have more than enough to do to keep myself entertained and busy where I can go an entire weekend and not leave the house.

When it was announced my office would be closed, I was ready. My last day in the office was Thursday, 19 March 2020. That Friday – Sunday felt like any other weekend but in the front of my mind, I knew I needed to start planning out my days.

So I sat at my desk with my weekly planner and started to write down things I wanted to do. I had enough to keep me busy all week and I want to share with you a few highlights of my #stayhome.

I Was Reintroduced To Motion

Why did it take COVID-19 for me to start exercising again? I have been saying for the last 4/5 months I was going to start. All gyms are closed but I said to myself I can’t sit on the couch for the next 3 weeks. The way my body is set up week 1 would have shown the signs of no daily motion that burned calories.

So there I was with my mat, kettle, a deck of cards, and YouTube.

My awesome friend Sheron, sent me a 5-mile walk YouTube video. I thought it was going to be light and easy-going. Wrong!!! I was really sweating it out. It being the ice cream, and wine I had been enjoying. Click the link below to feel my pain.

Vacation???

I believe that one day we will return back to some normalcy or life as we use to know it. With that, I sent out an email to my friends to follow up on a trip I have planned for January 2021.

Netflix and Stay Home

I had started watching Good Girls suggested to me by Jovial maybe 2 weeks ago and didn’t get far with it.  Well now that I have time, I binge-watched it. One night I was up until 4:30 am watching it and sadly finished it.  Season 4 where are you?

Closet Purge

I took it easy on myself as I have another 2 weeks and only purged my winter clothes. I had some sweaters and plaid button-ups that I’m ready to get rid of. I will either donate or put them on Poshmark. Poshmark is a good place to sell your clothes and make a few coins. Check out my closet @mssassyb!!!

Brittany Insider

I have been saying this year I need to dedicate more time and find the direction my blog is going. I enjoy talking to y’all and I want to be sure I am giving y’all what you want. I have started my IG account @brittany_insider and pulled out my notebook to write down some future things I’d like to do. Stay tuned!!!

The classes that I attend you do not have to sign up for. They are on Instagram Live so I only need to log into my account.
