Trash Talkin’

Now that I have slowed down on traveling for work I’m having a chance to use more of my stuff. In the past, I would pack the full bottle of makeup and skincare items, I’m talking over 8/9 ounces. Then when they start to get to the bottom, I leave them at home and pick up full bottles of other things.

Well, that was until I started purchasing more travel size products and I even purchased travel size containers so that I could continue to use the products until they were empty instead of jumping around from one product to the next.

With that quick fix, it actually feels good to see that I am using my products to the very end in a timely manner. I’m pretty sure I had something that had turned colors on me because I wouldn’t finish what was one application away from being empty.

Enough of me talking just enjoy the review of my empties!!!

SKINCARE

Sunday Riley- Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil

Price: $55 (mini) / $105 (standard size) /  $85 Power Couple: Lactic Acid and Retinol Kit

Use: Night

Benefits: retinol oil that boosts the look and feel of skin plumpness, while improving the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and pores for visibly younger-looking skin.

Would I repurchase?  Yes. It took me a while to get through this bottle, a little goes a long way. As I used it consistently I started to see a difference and I could also tell when I was slacking. I have always purchased this a power couple because I couldn’t see myself paying 105 DOLLARS for a bottle of skincare. Now I do shop quite a bit at Sephora so I may have managed to reach a status that I can now get 20 percent off during the VIB sale so that definitely lessens the blow.

Korres – Wild Rose 15% Vitamin C Spotless Serum

Price: $75

Use: Morning

Benefits: Reduces the appearance of dark spots, dullness, and skin discolorations for spotlessly luminous skin.

Would I repurchase?  Yes. Funny story how this repurchase happened. I was starting to come to the end of my previous bottle and I got online to see if there was anything that I may want to try different. Well, thinking I had found something new I ordered this product again lol. I guess it really does work for me. Click here to read my full review of the serum.

L’Occitane- Shea Butter Hand Cream

Price: $29 standard / $12 mini

Use: Daily

Benefits: I have the standard size in my office at work and the mini in my handbag. This hand cream is the best. It moisturizes my hands without leaving them feeling greasy and quickly absorbs into the skin.

Would I repurchase? Yes. I had to tell myself at one point to slow down on the buying because I was starting to find these stashed in my bathrooms, my desk at home and even tucked away in my makeup containers. I think I’m down to 3, I’m good.

Bath & Body Works – Almond Blossom Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

Price: $7.50 / currently mix/match 5/$23

Use: Daily

Benefits: Ummm let’s start with the obvious – clean hands. I think that is good enough, don’t you?

Would I repurchase? Yes. This hand soap contains Vitamin E, shea extract, and aloe to deliver a wonderful lather that rinses off and doesn’t dry out the skin.

As I Am – Leave-in Conditioner

Price: $10.49

Use: Frequently

Benefits:

  • Detangles your curls and minimizes frizz
  • Strengthens and moisturizes to help eliminate breakage
  • Works alone or as the perfect base for additional styling products
  • Free of harmful sulfates, detergents, soaps, and salts
  • For best results, use on clean, wet hair

Would I repurchase? Yes. I really like to use this when I am wearing my hair in a ponytail or a bun for more than a week. It’s a great leave-in for protective styles as well.
