Trash Talkin’: Burt’s Bees, HUM & More

I feel sometimes I can get a bit lengthy with posting my empties so I’m trying to work on keeping it 3-5 products at a time. This month I found myself with quite a few empties. I guess that what happens when you haven’t traveled in over 45 days and not living from travel sizes.

I hope you all enjoy!!!

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm: Vitamin E & Peppermint

Price: $3.29 – $3.59 for 1 / 2pk $5.69

Use: Daily

Benefits: Leaves lips soft and naturally moisturized with a matte finish. Perfect for the winter months.

Health Facts: Aluminum-free, propylparaben-free, Sulfate-free, butylparaben-free, formaldehyde-free, formaldehyde donor-free, nonylphenol ethoxylate free, paraben-free, sodium lauryl sulfate-free, phthalate-free, contains peppermint oil, ethyl alcohol-free, dye-free, contains antioxidants

Would I repurchase?  Yes. I like that this lip balm moisturizes the lips without leaving a shine. I like to apply this before I apply my lipliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses. I also apply this on long flights and then cover my lips with coconut oil to keep them moisturized. The peppermint does give a tingle that lingers for a while but I don’t mind.

NYX Butter Gloss: Praline

Price: $5

Use: Frequently

Would I repurchase? Yes. They were right when they named this collection a butter gloss. This gloss glides on really smooth giving a sheer to medium coverage. Praline is my favorite lip gloss. I consider this to be my nude lip gloss. Although I switch lip colors daily, I keep NYX Praline in my makeup bag that I carry in my purse. It also conditions the lips and is long-lasting. I didn’t realize how much I liked this gloss until I used it all up.

Laura Mercier: Almond Coconut Soufflé Body Crème

Price: $65

Use:  Sparingly

Benefits: This body cream leaves the body moisturized all day without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin.

Would I repurchase? Yes. I have received numerous compliments on this body cream from both women and men. When I first started to use this body cream, I wasn’t sure about it because I had never worn a fragrance like it. Now I can’t get enough of it. Now with the price point, I prefer not to use it daily so that it can last for a while. Also, this body cream serves as a body cream that serves as a moisturizer and perfume. When applying this body creme there is absolutely no need to follow up with perfume.

HUM: Daily Cleanse Clear Skin and Detox Supplement

Price: $25

Use: Daily

Benefits: Acne and clearer skin. Per HUM: Daily Cleanse features a unique combination of detoxifying herbs, spirulina, and organic chlorella to assist in ridding toxins for a clearer, smoother complexion from the inside out. It helps detoxify your largest organ (the skin), as well as the liver, bowel, kidneys, lungs, and lymphatic system.

Would I repurchase? Yes. When I first started taking these it wasn’t until I was just about finished with the bottle that I read where it said to take 2 capsules a day.  You can take these capsules without food also. Me not taking 2 capsules daily explains why I did not see the results as soon as 4-6 weeks as HUM claimed I would. Now that I am on my second bottle I expect that I will see better results even faster. I am hoping these capsules help in clearing up my acne on my cheeks.
