There are days when I am too faced from the start, in the middle, and at the end…when applying my makeup.
What did y’all think I was talking about?
Too Faced has had my attention lately and I have been trying a few products here and there and wanted to give y’all a rundown on what I think so far.
So when I first purchased this I had no idea the goal of this primer was to leave your skin dewy. Had I known I wouldn’t have bothered with it especially being a combination girl but coming off really strong as an oily girl in these humid streets of Singapore.
I’m not sure when the dewy part kicks in because for me this primer leaves me matte for the most part. I have quite a few other primers who represent themselves as being matte and can’t keep my pores together at all.
I really like that even though this primer keeps me matte it also hydrates and smooths my skin before I apply my makeup. This primer can probably serve as a moisturizer on those days where you want smooth skin and no makeup.
I’m always looking for the next best primer but this is one that I’d buy again.
I purchased this in the translucent medium and the match is perfect. I don’t think when I purchased this shade the deep brown was available and I haven’t had a chance to try it in store.
This applies to foundation and concealer and leaves a very smooth finish. It is very finely milled which I think makes it better than other setting powders I have tried.
I know some who complain of flashback and others who do not experience it. From my personal experience, I have not had a flashback. Maybe it’s from the foundation combined with the powder or the amount of powder applied that causes, I don’t know.
When you purchase this powder do not remove the plastic cap that is attached to the setting powder. I do not know why I took mine off but I wish I hadn’t. Oh wait now I remember, I wasn’t patient enough to shake the powder for each use and wanted to be able to turn it upside down and let it flow. BIG MISTAKE when I decided to travel with I had powder everywhere when I opened. Just leave the plastic cap on and if you don’t, you can’t say I didn’t tell you so.
I have talked about this setting spray before but I can’t help but talk about it again because it’s just that good. This spray is the perfect spray in every way. It does just what it says: prime, set, & refresh.
When I first started using this spray, I was only using it to set my makeup. As a setting spray, it removes the ‘powdery’ look from your makeup. It gives your freshly applied makeup a natural look and brings your entire look together.
You can smell the coconut water when you apply it to your face but it is not a strong scent.
I am now using this spray at the beginning of applying my makeup with foundations and concealers that dry down really quickly. It offers just enough moisture to blend the products into your skin.
Currently, this is the only setting spray that I am using every single day. I have tried others and I have yet to find one that can replace this one.
I will purchase this setting spray over and over, I am on my second bottle. I was mad that my last business trip I was able to fit everything into a carry-on but was mad I didn’t have this in the travel size. I guess it was meant to make me try and use other setting sprays I have.
I am not sure if I purchased this or it was part of promo during a Sephora order. I have had this for a while but I never would mess with it until about a few months ago.
This cleansing off is made for the primary purpose to remove your mascara. It is even shaped like a mascara wand for easy application to your eyelashes.
The directions state to apply it to your eyelashes, leave on for 60 seconds, and then wipe away the mascara with a damp cloth. It even says that it will remove waterproof mascara.
Ok so ummmm the product does what it says I give it that. I even leave it on longer than 60 seconds because I found that I still had mascara on after wiping it away. My only issue with this product is a issue I really have with myself. I don’t always have the patience to wait the minute or 2 for it to start working. I prefer a cleanser that can remove all my makeup from my face and not have to do 2 steps to remove it.
What are some too faced products that you have tried and like?
