The Thirst Is Real

No, really the thirst is real and we all need to do better.

Oh, you thought I was talking about a different type of thirst?

Anywaysss for those who are trying to get better about drinking water, join me on the May challenge.

I have been reading articles on water intake and here are a few things I have learned:

*Being thirst is the key to when you should drink water

*Each person level of water intake is different

*Exercise, environment, and overall health determine the amount of water you should drink

*Other beverages and food contribute to your water intake and of course the healthier the better.

Tips to Help With Drinking More Water

  1. Always carry a water bottle and purchase one that you like.
  2. Use a straw
  3. Add fruit to your water
  4. Drink 1 cup after a bathroom break
  5. 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of non-water beverage
  6. If you like sodas try switching to sparkling or mineral water

This month we are going to do self-experimentation to determine how much water we should be drinking.

During this time, LISTEN to your body when it says it has reached capacity. Not every person needs 8 glasses of water and there are some of us who need more.

There are phone apps and printable calendars that you can use to track your water intake.

For those of you who want to follow the 8 glasses a day here is a schedule:
